Position: Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $1,790 per week in Seattle, WA

Special Education Teacher (ECSE)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to develop the special curricular trajectory and goal management for each student, overseeing and supporting the early childhood special education program.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching in a small group ECSE classroom, integrated preschool classroom, and/or itinerant services position. Travel between buildings may be required and reimbursed per district policies.
  • Teach preschool curriculum of Independent School District 196.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies for preschool-aged children with disabilities.
  • Plan instruction collaboratively with all classroom staff.
  • Maintain good communication and cooperation with staff and parents.
  • Direct the work of paraprofessional(s) in the classroom.
  • Facilitate annual IEP meetings and manage due process paperwork as the case manager for children receiving ECSE services.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Carry out responsibilities as defined by master contract and supervisor.
  • Collaborate with others to support students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment, including supporting and performing the necessary delegated health tasks.
Qualifications
  • Minnesota licensure in Early Childhood Special Education.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community.
  • Experience working with 3-5 year olds with disabilities.
  • Prefer experience working in multiple ECSE settings (integrated/small group/community based).
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Salary:
