The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine (ESFCOM) at Washington State University seeks a Director to provide institutional leadership for disability access and accommodations within the medical education program. The position is located in the Office of Student Experience with in the Department of Medical Education and Clinical Sciences (or a related department). The incumbent will hold an academic rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor commensurate with qualifications and will serve on the faculty track.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership for disability access and accommodations for medical students, overseeing the full accommodation process.
- Advise institutional leaders on disability‑related policy matters and partner with faculty, administrators, campus, and clinical partners to promote equitable access across classrooms, laboratories, simulation, assessment, and clinical learning environments.
- Contribute to strategic planning, faculty development, policy formation, and continuous quality improvement related to access, inclusion, and learner support in academic medicine.
- Lead and administer learning support initiatives within the Student Learning Center (SLC), including peer tutoring, academic support services, learning workshops, and specialized programming.

- Master’s or terminal degree in law, counseling, rehabilitation, psychology, education, public health, medicine, or a related field.
- Eligibility for faculty appointment within a department of the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine.
- Familiarity with medical school technical standards, clinical training environments, simulation‑based education, and testing accommodations.
- Experience managing sensitive, complex, and confidential accommodations.
- Assistant Rank – Terminal Degree: $135,000 – $150,000;
Masters/Equivalent: $115,000 – $140,000 - Associate Rank – Terminal Degree: $150,000 – $163,349;
Masters/Equivalent: $126,000 – $154,000 - Full Professor Rank – Terminal Degree: $163,350 – $194,000;
Masters/Equivalent: $138,600 – $169,400
