- Guide licensed child care providers through the WA State Early Achievers system to improve program quality
- Provide culturally inclusive coaching and technical assistance in person, virtually, and via email
- Help providers build capacity in early learning practices, program self-assessments, and technology use
- Use Practice-Based Coaching, CLASS, and ERS to assess and improve learning environments
- Support providers in creating and maintaining Quality Improvement Plans aligned with state standards
- Deliver training and support for professional learning communities
- Collaborate with providers to collect and use classroom data for continuous improvement
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and webinars aligned with Early Achievers goals
- Connect families to high-quality child care through the Early Achievers program
- AAS in ECE required
- AA with a Professional Development Plan to obtain a BA accepted
- BA in ECE or related degree preferred
- 3-5 years minimum demonstrated leadership experience in Early Childhood Education or a related field, including working with young children in a group setting
- Knowledge of the Washington State Early Learning and Development Guidelines
- Ability to support and motivate people toward desired goals
- Ability to provide leadership, innovation, motivation, and constructive feedback to Early Learning professionals
- Commitment to utilizing and supporting research-based assessments to guide quality improvement plans
- Knowledge of Washington State child care licensing and the regulatory environment for family- and center-based child care
- Knowledge of child care licensing program policies and early childhood education
- Knowledge of rules and regulations governing Early Achievers
- Experience coaching or training adults and knowledge of adult learning principles
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practice from birth to age 8
- Ability to translate training into practice
- Current valid driver's license and liability insurance
- Ability to pass ongoing background checks
- Clear and persuasive verbal communication, listening, clarification, question response, and group presentation skills
- Clear and informative writing, editing, adaptable writing style, numerical data presentation, and written information interpretation
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly
- Intermediate-level skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with database entry, data collection, and evaluation processes
Demonstrates expertise in Early Childhood Education with a focus on coaching, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Proficient in utilizing research-based assessments and data-driven strategies to enhance early learning environments and support child care providers.
