The role of the Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) is to assist and support building staff and administration in improving student performance in academic, behavior, and social skills for all students who are in need of accommodations or struggling in the school setting.
Spokane Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates who are prepared and excited to provide a 21st century learning environment that effectively addresses the emerging necessity of social emotional supports and blending learning strategies.

2026-27 School Year - Benefits--Medical/Dental/Vision through SEBB (School Employee Benefits Board) are provided for employees who work at least 630 hours per academic year.

This position requires a Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate
in School Counseling, School Psychology or Social Work with a Master's Degree in School Counseling, School Psychology or Social Work; or a Washington State Special Education Teaching Certificate with a Master's Degree in Special Education. PESB Course and Endorsement Lookup
