Position Summary:
The Pathway Specialist supports enrollment, onboarding, retention, and student success for Business, Hospitality, Information Technology, Health Sciences, and Arts & Sciences programs at Spokane Community College. The position serves as a primary resource for students and faculty while coordinating enrollment activities and providing comprehensive program support.
Key Responsibilities:- Advise prospective students on program requirements and prerequisites.
- Provide registration information and technical assistance to students and faculty.
- Promote assigned programs and communicate educational and enrollment information through the CRM.
- Maintain program interest lists and monitor student inquiries.
- Evaluate transcripts, test scores, and student files for program acceptance.
- Track student performance and progression and coordinate retention support.
- Coordinate enrollment, recruitment, onboarding, and retention activities with faculty and Student Services.
- Organize information sessions, onboarding days, batch registration, outreach, and student communications.
- Maintain CRM records and report activities and outcomes.
- Participate in Guided Pathways, advisory committees, presentations, and campus events.
- Support equitable and inclusive student-centered services and cross-train with Registration staff.
- May coordinate the work of lower-level staff, work-study students, or interns.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interpret policies, rules, and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, plus Zoom/Teams.
- Ability to track student progress and work with data reports.
- Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 2+ years of Student Services or related experience.
- FERPA knowledge.
- Experience with student management systems such as People Soft, Banner, or Workday.
- CRM experience.
- Knowledge of Spokane Colleges or Washington State policies and procedures.
- Resume.
