Responsibilities
  • In the role of Senior Bridge Project Manager, plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline engineering projects or large, routine projects.
  • Foster and develop client relationships for yourself and your staff.
  • Independently coordinate work of engineers and balance the planning team throughout the project’s development.
  • Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
  • Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate or adjust work effort with the team to ensure work is completed within the agreed schedule.
  • Collaborate with peers and team members to create a cohesive practice.
  • Perform complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects to ensure timely completion of documents.
  • Work on projects that typically include bridge types (steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental and cable-stayed), box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects.
  • Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized software, perform structural load calculations, and assist with geometric layout and quantity development.
  • Review, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs.
  • Mentor younger staff and support continued development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 10 years related experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years project management experience.
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., Professional Engineer license).
  • MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Structural Engineer in the State of Washington (or able to achieve reciprocity within 6 months).
  • 20+ years of bridge design experience.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software such as MS Project.
  • Familiarity with engineering software packages such as PGSuper, SAP
    2000, CSiBridge, LARSA 4D, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-Multi Pier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, Midas Civil, MDX, ADINA, RM Bridge, sp Column, or LUSAS.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. (

  • Professional engineer license recognized by the licensing board for the position location.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience is a plus).
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
