Mechanical Engineer

MSI Engineers, a top‑tier professional MEP engineering consulting firm with offices in Spokane, WA and Missoula, MT, is looking for a mechanical engineer to join our team. We’re seeking an individual with basic industry knowledge who can contribute to our team and grow their career. Our focus is on producing top‑quality work in a fun, laid‑back environment while we execute a wide array of projects throughout the K‑12, higher education, healthcare, municipal, government, commercial, and industrial sectors.

• Attend meetings in person or remotely as required.
• Perform site visits to projects for as-built and construction observations.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Responsible for load calculations, system sizing, equipment selections, drawing and specification creation, energy compliance, and cost estimates for mechanical systems design.
• Other various duties include code reviews, submittal reviews, surveys of existing facilities, and construction site reviews.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design
• Basic knowledge of mechanical codes
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and clients
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

• Professional License in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP;
  Revit

$70,000+/yr depending on experience and qualifications.

• This is a full‑time in‑office position in our Spokane office and offers full benefits including paid parking, health and dental insurance, retirement program, paid holidays, vacation and sick time.
• Typical hours are Monday – Thursday 7:30 am – 5:30 pm with a half day on Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.
