Job Description:

Successful candidate will be required to work 100% in field locations. This role is based out of our El Paso, TX office. The successful candidate will work full-time on the project site located in Santa Teresa, New Mexico.

• Provide senior level cost engineering leadership on large, complex projects as a key member of the owners project management and project controls team.
• Oversee and manage project costs to ensure delivery within approved budgets and contractual requirements.
• Establish and maintain the project cost baseline; monitor expenditures against forecasts and coordinate with the Reporting Lead to deliver clear and detailed cost reports to management.
• Lead evaluation of the cost impact of change orders, schedule adjustments, and scope variations while advising project managers and senior leadership on cost risks, trends, and mitigation strategies.
• Direct tracking of cost plus contract line items to ensure all reimbursable costs and associated fees are accurately captured, validated, and reported in full compliance with contract requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and training to more junior staff; mentor staff for future growth within the discipline and firm.
• May supervise the work of junior engineers on project work.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Advanced Excel skills and experience with project controls platforms such as Primavera P6, Eco Sys, Unifier, or Procore.
• Strong expertise in cost control, forecasting, earned value, and change order evaluation.
• Experience with cost-plus and GMP contract management, including reimbursable cost tracking.
