CAD Technician – Bridges and Structures Practice
Location:
Spokane, WA.
- Produce detailed CAD drawings, layouts, and graphics for a variety of transportation structures including reinforced concrete, pre‑stressed concrete, and steel designs.
- Translate engineering markups into polished construction documents, maintaining precision and consistency.
- Use state‑of‑the‑art software such as AutoCAD, Micro Station, and Open Roads Designer.
- Support design tasks under the direction of licensed engineers using industry standards such as AASHTO.
- Maintain structured drawing files, adhere to company drafting standards, and support project‑specific standards as needed.
- Collaborate through file‑sharing systems like Project Wise and participate in quality assurance reviews.
- Track quantities, update contract drawings, and contribute to project success within scope, budget, and schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of drafting experience with a focus on bridge or structural engineering projects.
- Associate of Applied Science in Civil Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Micro Station/Open Roads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Experience with transportation projects and/or Idaho Transportation Department, Washington State Department of Transportation, and City and County of Spokane projects.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for precision.

Potential salary range: $32.00/hr - $49.00/hr the posted salary range represents the typical range for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
