The Project Engineering Intern will support the Project Engineering team, working closely with Project and Controls engineers on a variety of tasks supporting the ideation, design, development and implementation of equipment to support the Jubilant Hollister Stier facility. The role provides hands‑on exposure to implementing enhancements in a live manufacturing environment, using formal change‑management processes and collaborating with production stakeholders.
- Perform mechanical engineering duties (CAD Layout, Light Fabrication and Assembly, testing and production support) as assigned.
- Assist in component fabrication and testing.
- Work with Engineering team to support any design activities.
- Handle part design independently to completion.
- Work with Tooling vendors to complete Design For Manufacturing.
- Write test protocols and perform the testing protocols as required.
- Responsible to run analytical tools based on requirement.
- Work productively both individually or as part of a team.
- Other duties as required and assigned.
This internship lasts 10–14 weeks, consisting of structured hands‑on training involving site equipment, JHS team networking, and projects selected to add direct value to the business. At the conclusion of the program, each intern will present their projects to the site Engineering directors, managers, and mentors. An internship at Jubilant Hollister Stier provides an invaluable experience that can be utilized in any role, and it's the goal at JHS to evaluate our interns for potential entry‑level openings.
Qualifications- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes required.
- Strong attention to detail / data gathering skills.
- Hands‑on problem solving.
- Creation of technical documentation.
- Proficient with hand tools.
- Typing and computer skills.
- Interpret a variety of instructions.
- Conduct technical presentations / demonstrations as necessary.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
