Jumpstart your civil engineering career as a Civil Project Engineer with DCI Engineers in our Spokane, WA office. Work on grading, drainage, utilities, and road projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and gain hands-on experience while growing your skills in a supportive and innovative environment.
What You'll Do:
As a Civil Project Engineer, you will work on site development projects and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs:
- Perform site development design: grading, drainage, sewer, water, erosion control, and road design (including profile layouts)
- Collaborate with engineering and drafting teams to coordinate design details and construction document requirements
- Plan, schedule, and conduct or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work
- Attend design meetings, as directed by the Project Manager
- Review submittals, prepare technical reports, perform routine conveyance calculations, and write observation reports
To succeed as a Civil Project Engineer, you should bring the following skills and experiences:
- Minimum 1 year of civil engineering experience
- Experience with grading, stormwater management, and utility design
- Familiarity with stormwater modeling and technical information reports
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Desire to provide excellent service and build client relationships
- Effective communication skills with clients and project teams
- Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university
