Job DescriptionMaintenance Sr. Specialist holds a general responsibility for the reliability of the facility or production equipment utilized throughout the facility. The Sr. Specialist demonstrates knowledge as an SME in multiple equipment/process areas or proficiencies. This position analyzes equipment performance, along with present and proposed maintenance strategies and procedures to determine improvements in the reliability of the equipment. The Sr. Specialist works closely with other maintenance technicians to train and mentor on the proper techniques of equipment maintenance and repairs in a cGMP environment.
- Highly proficient in troubleshooting complex equipment issues and provide supporting documentation that meet cGMP requirements.
- As a primary SME, take ownership in optimizing the maintenance strategy and monitoring machine performance to improve equipment reliability in assigned areas.
- Effectively manage applicable Change Controls, CAPAs, and document changes to SOPs, drawings, and other equipment documentation.
- Coordinate with OEM and contractor support to meet specific objectives within project scope and deadlines.
- Proficient with the proper use of engineering and maintenance documentation required under cGMPs. Examples include the Maintenance Work Order System, the Critical Change Request System, SOP documentation, Validation documentation, etc.
- Develop training opportunities for the Maintenance team in efforts to increase equipment knowledge, skill based, and SME support for the facility.
- Influential team member capable of filling in for the team leadership when applicable or assigned.
- High school OR GED diploma required with technical certification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years FDA or other regulated industry required.
- Technical 2-yr degree or equivalent, including applicable license or certifications (Electrical, Mechanical, Controls/PLC, HVAC, Boiler) desired.
- Lead experience preferred.
- Must possess the knowledge typically attained through successful completion of a technical program in an applicable technical field (mechanical, electrical, controls/PLC, HVAC/Boilers, etc.) or a technical certification, with 10 years of practical experience. This includes the ability to write detailed reports to document work completed.
- There will be latitude in the application of problem solving strategies, but within the context of current industry practices and cGMP and with an appropriate level of input from senior level employees.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds unassisted.

- Exposure to allergens.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
Location: Spokane, WA — On Site, Full-Time
Shift: Monday-Friday | 8:00AM-5:00PM
Compensation & BenefitsHiring Wage: $39.57 – $53.54, with opportunities for growth, promotion, and annual raises.
