Job Title: Sales Engineer (Structural – Joist & Deck)

Location: Spokane, Washington (On-site, 5 days/week with occasional flexibility)

Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 + performance-based bonus (quarterly + annual)

A growing commercial construction business is looking to hire a Sales Engineer with a structural engineering background and experience in metal decking and bar joist systems
. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with customers, supporting bids and estimating, and playing a key part in project success from early design through delivery.

• Provide technical sales support for joist and metal decking solutions
• Support bid and proposal development alongside estimating teams
• Coordinate with customers, architects, engineers, detailers, and internal project teams
• Review drawings and project documents using Bluebeam
• Work with manufacturers to secure pricing and strengthen bid competitiveness
• Help improve internal estimating and project handoff processes
• Build long-term customer relationships and support repeat business growth
• Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives and business expansion

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in structural engineering or related construction industry role
• Knowledge of joists and decking systems (highly preferred)
• Proficient in Bluebeam (AutoCAD familiarity is a plus)
• Experience supporting estimating, bids, or proposal development
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
• Must be local to or willing to relocate to Spokane, WA
• PE license preferred
