What You Will Do
- Provides technical recommendations and solutions by investigating, evaluating, interfacing with stakeholders, troubleshooting and responding to maintenance/operator questions related to complex equipment. Collaboratively shares learning with peers.
- Work with project managers to define and design future robotic cells to expand department capacity over five years
- Actively monitor key performance indicators pertaining to both product and process parameters. Use RRCA and other troubleshooting methodology to resolve product quality issues or process upset events.
- Propose and manage large projects (>$1M) at the moderate to complex level; effectively manage contractors and equipment and materials vendors. Ability to work independently and autonomously on complex projects and evaluate his/her work and exercise judgment.
- Creates, reviews, revises, maintains, and organizes equipment documents and drawings for complex equipment and proprietary hardware designs.
- Participates on or leads cross-functional teams to integrate the activities of multiple engineering disciplines, mechanics, and operators.
- Interface with site Distributed Control System and suggest improvements in logic.
- Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Engineering Forms (EFs) are thorough, accurate, effective, and up to date.
- Take an active role in meeting department and site Lean Manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain a high commitment to quality, thoroughness, and efficiency in all work aspects.
- Observe and follow all quality, environmental, health and safety procedures.
- Comply with all other Collins Aerospace policies and procedures
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- 3 or more years of experience with process control basics, PLCs and/or Distributed Control Systems
- 3 or more years of experience in Data mining, using systems such as SQL/Python/Minitab
- Management of design/implementation of robotic cells.
- Management of projects and vendors.
- Implementation of Lean manufacturing techniques
- Excellent communication skills at multiple levels, both oral and written, as well as organizational ability
- Advanced technical skills and analytical thinking
- Comprehensive knowledge of business applications software such as MS Office products, excel macros, SAP, CAD, Studio 5000, etc.
- Comprehension of complex process and facilities problems, apply creativity and drive towards problem resolution
