Job DescriptionThe OSP Inspector II will be responsible for ensuring that all the client’s underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities meet current standards through inspections and correction work performed by contractors. The Inspector will document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically and communicate via email and cellular phone. Occasionally, manual inspections, audits, and transfers may be necessary using printed spreadsheets. Familiarity with mapping/GPS technology is required.
Qualifications- Previous experience performing NESC inspections or working on an aerial cable line crew
- Experience with wooden pole ground line inspections
- Proficiency in OSP Construction Standards
- Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Windows XP, Excel 2003 or newer, Outlook - Experience with mapping tools such as Microsoft MapPoint 2009 or newer is preferred but not required
- Comfortable with internet usage and web browsing
- Good communication skills
- Strong personal time management and organizational skills
- Construction contractor management skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel on short notice
Pay: $32/hr
