Senior Mechanical Engineer

• Support design, development, and testing of rack-mounted network equipment
• Design sheet metal and injection-molded parts
• Perform thermal and structural analysis and prepare supporting reports
• Support prototype builds and evaluate design changes
• Review and check engineering drawings
• Create and release Bills of Materials
• Prepare and release Engineering Change Orders and Deviations
• Conduct design reviews using PowerPoint, Excel, or similar tools
• Adhere to project schedules
• Support cross-functional team meetings

• Experience in server appliance and chassis design in enterprise or OCP rack environments
• Use of Solid Works mechanical CAD software; CSWP or equivalent
• Extensive design experience with sheet metal, injection molding, castings, machined parts, and similar components
• Mechanical layout of PCB/PCA assemblies
• Component selection and evaluation, including fans, heat sinks, connectors, and hardware
• Simulation and analysis, including thermal and structural evaluations
• Ability to generate reports for testing, tolerance, and fit analysis studies
• Hands-on prototype build and evaluation support
• Ability to review and check engineering drawings
• Creation and release of Bills of Materials
• Preparation and release of Engineering Change Orders and Deviations
• Conduct design reviews using PowerPoint, Excel, or similar tools
• Ability to adhere to project schedules
• BSME or MSME from an accredited university
• Familiarity with mechanical CAD and simulation software
• Extensive mechanical engineering design experience
• Ability to understand and design mechanical assemblies in a timely manner
• Familiarity with basic shop tools
• Initiative, self-motivation, and willingness to grow in responsibility
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Competence with Microsoft Office software
• Ability to work with and clearly communicate with an interdisciplinary team of engineers and lab technicians
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on occasion

Demonstrates expertise in mechanical engineering design, particularly in server appliance and chassis design, with proficiency in Solid Works and extensive experience in sheet metal and injection molding. Capable of conducting thermal and structural analysis, generating detailed reports, and effectively collaborating within cross-functional teams.
