- Coordinate and perform activities relating to EMC and product safety compliance and approvals for F5 hardware
- Prepare schedules, test procedures, test plans, report reviews, and report approvals
- Coordinate and perform NEBS compliance testing for F5 hardware products
- Establish and maintain relationships with testing vendors for compliance certifications
- Monitor the latest domestic and international EMC and safety standards
- Review new hardware designs early to ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met
- Participate in internal and off-site testing for EMC, safety, NEBS, and other regulatory standards
- Create, develop, and maintain in-house test procedures, test plans, guidelines, and regulatory compliance documentation
- Initiate and/or coordinate root cause analysis for non-compliance issues
- Uphold F5’s Business Code of Ethics and report violations of the Code or company policies
- Work with internal F5 engineering teams and external third-party compliance vendors
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience in EMC / Product Safety / Compliance
- Proficiency with certification and testing standards including CISPR, CSA, EN, IECEE CB Scheme, FCC, NEBS, TUV, and UL
- Familiarity with the National Electric Code
- Understanding of electrical wiring diagrams and electronic circuits
- Hands‑on experience with EMC and Product Safety test equipment
- Working knowledge of standard requirements for IT and Telecom equipment
- General knowledge of power electronics theory and practical designs
- Ability to read schematics
- Ability to pull BOMs from a PLM system
- Ability to read and translate regulatory legislation as it pertains to F5 hardware products
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with different teams and interface with other disciplines
- Ability to work under pressure and multi‑task effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Available for business travel up to 25%
Demonstrates expertise in EMC and product safety compliance, with a strong focus on certification standards and regulatory documentation. Proficient in coordinating testing activities and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
