The Computer Aided Design Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Spokane, WA. This role is responsible for preparing detailed mechanical and plumbing drawings using CAD software, including plans, sections, and elevations that support engineering design and documentation. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting engineering and architectural sketches, updating and revising drawings, maintaining drawing standards, and organizing project files. The drafter collaborates with engineers and project managers to resolve design issues, ensure accuracy and consistency across drawing sets, and support coordination with other disciplines.

The role also involves applying relevant codes and standards as directed, performing quality checks on drawings, and assisting in preparing documents for permitting and construction.

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for building systems and layouts.
• Candidates should possess skills in Technical Drawing and Engineering Drawings to translate concepts into precise design documents.
• Candidates should possess skills in Architectural Drawings and Drawing to interpret and coordinate building plans and details.
• Relevant experience in mechanical or plumbing drafting for commercial or residential projects is beneficial.
• Familiarity with building codes, standards, and construction practices is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural specifications and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project teams.
• Associate degree or technical certificate in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
