The Project Engineer III
- Pharmaceutical Facilities & Utilities
will provide senior-level engineering expertise across pharmaceutical facilities, utilities, infrastructure, capital projects, and facility expansion initiatives. This role will independently lead large-scale projects and multidisciplinary teams while serving as a technical authority across key areas of facility engineering.

brings strong experience with pharmaceutical facilities, clean utilities, HVAC, WFI, clean steam, electrical systems, capital project execution, and highly regulated engineering environments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for major facility engineering projects, including facility and utility expansions, compliance upgrades, cost-reduction initiatives, process improvements, and construction projects
  • Serve as a technical resource for pharmaceutical facility systems, including HVAC, clean steam, WFI, electrical systems, and related infrastructure
  • Design, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize facility systems supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations
  • Independently manage major capital and expense projects from planning through execution and closeout
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate internal stakeholders, contractors, A&E firms, vendors, and equipment manufacturers
  • Develop technical specifications, RFQs, and project documentation for engineering firms, contractors, and equipment suppliers
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, meetings, communications, documentation, and cross-functional execution
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, SOPs, quality standards, and accepted engineering practices
  • Maintain current knowledge of local, state, federal, and international regulations affecting pharmaceutical facilities
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced engineers and project team members
  • Support short- and long-term engineering objectives established by site leadership
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • 7+ years of project engineering and/or project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing large-scale capital or facility engineering projects
  • Strong experience collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering and operational teams
  • Excellent communication, organization, documentation, and technical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in Spokane, WA
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical facility engineering experience
  • Experience with HVAC, WFI, clean steam, electrical systems, clean utilities, and pharmaceutical construction
  • Experience working in GMP or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Project
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Power Point
  • Experience supporting facility expansions, infrastructure upgrades, or large capital programs
  • Experience working in classified or aseptic manufacturing environments

This position offers a base salary of $103,050-$164,900/year, based on experience, plus a 10% annual bonus opportunity.
