Overview

Raymond West is seeking a Parts Specialist for our Ops Business Support team (position code 3R-RW0153) located at RHCC Spokane WA, Spokane, Washington, United States.

Responsibilities
  • Accept telephone, email, and counter orders from external customers and company technicians; fill orders from stock.
  • Research replacement parts using parts manual, computer listings, or microfiche.
  • Discuss use and features of various parts with customers.
  • Fill customer orders from stock or by special order; place orders for stock replenishment.
  • Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when replacements are unavailable.
  • Update customers regarding the status of backordered parts in an acceptable time frame.
  • Prepare sales orders for invoicing, receive payment, and obtain credit authorization when necessary.
  • Participate in general inventories and cycle counts as required.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and sales records through proper documentation.
  • Support other Parts Sales Specialists with the sale of material handling equipment.
  • Handle telephone calls, customer counter activities, and promote overall sales.
  • Assist Parts Sales Representatives with order entry, consignment replenishments, and consignment maintenance.
  • Distribute and explain Raymond Corporation Service and Parts Bulletins to other parts staff.
  • Assist at back counter and in the stockroom as directed; press tires as necessary.
  • Participate in Parts Department training and meetings.
  • Perform various duties directly or indirectly associated with parts sales activity as assigned.
Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with employees, co‑workers, and managers in other departments.
  • Willingness to work off‑hours as needed and assume additional responsibilities.
  • Fulfill essential job functions consistently and safely.
  • General understanding of machinery parts and their functions.
  • Effective communication with employees, manufacturers, and vendors at all levels, in person, on the telephone, or via electronic media.
  • Willingness to learn new computer programs, inventory procedures, parts manuals, and price books.
  • Perform duties under minimal supervision, adapt to change, and demonstrate initiative.
  • Continue to learn new products and procedures.
  • Manage time effectively and maintain a professional attitude.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and organized work area.
  • Comply with the employee handbook and company policies.
  • Motivated for continuous self‑development and training.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Non‑sedentary position.
  • Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision; ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds.
  • Use of hands for finging, handling, feeling, or reaching.
  • Occasional need to smell.
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
  • Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, high or precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold or heat, vibration, and loud noise.
Pay Range

Hourly: $23.00 – $29.00. Pay may be influenced by experience, education, and work location. Qualified candidates must pass a pre‑employment physical and drug screen.
