Customer Service Rep
Position Overview
Starting Salary: $19.88 – The hourly range is $19.88 to $23.28.
Location: Point Defiance Marina, Point Defiance Park, Tacoma.
Shift lead for the sales floor and marina operations. Duties include tenant payment processing, license sales, boat rental operations, lift elevator use, vendor order handling, merchandise restocking, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities- Accept and process tenant payments.
- Sell Washington State fishing and hunting licenses using a computerized system.
- Set up, launch, and retrieve boat rentals.
- Assist stranded rental boats.
- Operate boat lift elevator system to launch and retrieve both tenant and rental boats.
- Check in and receive vendor orders.
- Restock merchandise.
- Supervise assigned staff and oversee sales floor function.
- Perform various duties related to marina operations as assigned.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous work or volunteer experience with customer service and/or cash handling.
- Valid WA State Food Handlers Card preferred.
- Valid WA State Boaters Education Card preferred.
- Up to 29 hours per week.
- Early morning, evening, and weekend shifts; holidays may be required.
- Shifts may require opening and/or closing the facility.

- Schedule includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
- Move throughout Parks Tacoma facilities and buildings.
- Operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Bending, stretching, walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods.
- Prepare written or typed recreational and leisure program material and monitor activities.
- Communicate to conduct program and exchange information with district employees and customers.
- Noise level is moderately loud.
- Lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Navigate emergency situations, including performing CPR.
- Possible contact with dissatisfied or abusive individuals.
