Position Details:

* This role reports into the Spokane OpCo {4007 N Industrial Park 1st Street, Spokane Valley, WA 99216} but will travel between 2 locations {Spokane + Portland: 17225 SE 120th Avenue, Clackamas, OR 97015}

* Work Schedule:

This is an onsite Monday-Friday, normal business hours

* Subject to change based on business needs

* Travel:
Average of 3 days quarterly between Spokane & Portland

* Compensation: $80k-$90k base salary, depending on experience, plus bonus potential based on KPIs!!

Position Summary:

As the Credit Manager, you will play an integral part in supporting our business today and planning our business for tomorrow. You will be responsible for managing a diverse customer portfolio and engaging directly with customers and Core-Mark personnel to identify and mitigate customer credit risk through pro-active credit management. The Credit Manager is responsible for actively monitoring and evaluating both existing and new prospective customers to ensure that customer terms, conditions and credit limits are appropriate relative to known and potential risks.

The Credit Manager will oversee the work of the credit analyst(s) and work closely and proactively with Core-Mark employees at both the Corporate and Division level.

Position Responsibilities:

The Credit Manager is responsible for oversight and managements of credit and collections activities, including:

* Investigate and verify the financial status and reputation of prospective customers applying for credit and leverage system resources including Bectran to establish proposed credit limits and payment terms in accordance with the identified risk factors and risk score and Core-Mark policies, procedures and standards of operation.

* Leverage the SAP Financial Supply Chain Management tools including the Collection Module, Credit Module and Dispute Management Module to
1) prioritize daily activities including collections and customer dispute resolution;
2) identify and evaluate "at-risk" customers to consider "ship / no-ship" and "customer hold" decisions and re-evaluation of customer terms, limits and payment method;
3) monitor key credit performance metrics including timeliness and completeness of credit application completion, collections activities, dispute resolution and customer risk profiles relative to customer terms and limits.

* Partners with division personnel including the Division Finance Director and Division President to ensure effective communication and collaboration on:
1) credit risks and opportunities;
2) adequacy of accounts receivable reserves; and,
3) factors influencing key accounts receivable performance metrics

* Ensure compliance with credit management policies and procedures and associated standards of operations

* Closely interact with the Executive Business Services (EBS) accounts receivable team that is responsible for the application of customer payments and credit memos, customer account reconciliation and identification and communication of customer disputes (the Credit Manager is responsible for the oversight, risk mitigation, accuracy and collectability of accounts receivable and should work closely with both division and EBS personnel teams)

* Collaborate with the division sales team and national account sales team on customer collections efforts and identification of unusual or "at-risk" customer activity (unusual order levels or patterns, etc.)

* Effectively leverage outside collection agencies and/or attorneys to enhance and elevate customer collections pursuits when reasonable and timely internal collections efforts have failed

* Identify opportunities to enhance the timeliness of collections and accuracy of cash and credit memo application by collaborating with customers and the EBS team (e.g. encouraging customers to move to electronic payment remittance, enhanced payment remittance support, etc.)

* Monitor, influence and drive improvement to key performance metrics pertaining to accounts receivable including days sales outstanding, customer terms and limits relative to risk profile, timeliness of collections and dispute resolution, timeliness and completeness of credit applications, etc.

* Ensure compliance with internal controls designed to mitigate risks including fraud

* Performs other related duties as assigned.
