Where You Will Work

Remote role open to candidates residing in Washington (WA) or Oregon (OR); travel is required.

Pay Range

Target annual pay range: $93,456 - $106,200. Full annual pay range: $84,960 - $127,440.

  • Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job‑related skills, experience, education or training. Should an offer of employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications.
  • In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available and performance based with targets varying by role.
Job Overview

This role is responsible for developing, growing, and managing a portfolio of quality member business loan relationships to support the credit union’s strategic goals within the Washington and Oregon market areas.

What You’ll Do
  • Identify and develop new member business loan opportunities through a variety of networking methodologies and community involvement.
  • Develop profitable and positive networks within the business community; establish and maintain professional relationships with existing/prospective members and centers of influence.
  • Build a quality member business loan portfolio by negotiating terms within the prescribed framework, strictly adhering to commercial lending policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor rates, programs, terms, and conditions to strategically present credit union programs.
  • Perform interviews and consultation with prospective business loan members, including collecting and reviewing applications, collaborating with Credit Analysts, reviewing loan documentation, performing periodic term loan and risk reviews, and monitoring delinquencies.
  • Meet monthly loan production and/or profitability goals, as well as sales activities and outbound calling goals.
  • Maintain the strong credit quality of the credit union’s member business lending portfolio through ongoing portfolio management.
  • Support a strong relationship banking culture through superior product knowledge and promotion/marketing of the credit union’s products and services.
  • Serve as a resource and develop positive relationships with all credit union partners, internal and external.
  • Comply with State and Federal regulations and complete necessary documentation and disclosures required by law.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
When You'll Be Working

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Full‑time, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in a high‑volume, production‑oriented commercial lending role or equivalent position.
  • Valid driver’s license to operate fleet vehicles during work.
Bonus Points If You Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or Economics or related field of study.
  • Risk Management Association (RMA) lending certifications.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience with investor commercial real estate, C&I lending, and business deposit products.
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial lending guidelines, regulatory procedures, processes, and laws.
  • Strong networking and relationship management skills.
  • High level of consultative selling skills, negotiation and presentation skills, with successful outside sales experience.
  • Ability to recommend loan pricing, terms, risk grades, evaluate collateral, specify repayment sources, and assess industry and management risks.
  • Ability to prepare written loan approval requests covering all regulatory and credit union requirements.
  • Ability to understand complex business loan requests, evaluate financial capacity of borrowers/guarantors, and identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work successfully in a collaborative environment.
  • Establish program goals and objectives that support the credit union’s strategic plan.
