Salary: $66,072.00 - $88,788.00 Annually

The Opportunity:

This position serves as a first line Regional Fiduciary Supervisor and exercises independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules and regulations to disburse, reimburse, recoup and resolve fiscal problems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), RCW, WAC, and DCYF policy and procedures. Incumbent is responsible for supporting Headquarters in assuring payment integrity is maintained in their area of responsibility.

Supervises professional fiscal staff involved in performing accounting, budgeting, auditing and other fiscal review and analysis. Trains and develops professional subordinates in fiscal matters and procedures; provides technical support and training to field fiscal staff for accounting related activities and financial systems. Supervisor may carry a small payment case load.

Some of what you will get to do:

• Functions as a first line supervisor for fiscal related professional staff (Fiduciaries) involved in the procurement and payments for goods and services for clients, contractors and other providers.
• Assures compliance with fiscal policies and procedures for the Region.
• Provides on-going fiscal consultation and training to all levels of staff and to providers and contractors.
• Assures compliance with Administrative Policies, RCW and WAC, and DCYF policy and procedures.
• Resolves and replies to provider concerns related to service payments.
• Coordinates and processes client/provider over payments and represents the DCYF in Fair Hearings related to client/provider over payments.
• Acts as the financial system liaison between Regional offices and Headquarters/IT staff in the development and application of Famlink and SSPS.
• Make Famlink payments for client services from social worker authorizations.
• Analyzes and determines what is needed from social workers and supervisors to comply with regulations and rules to achieve payment.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of relevant professional experience

OR

Equivalent education/experience totaling six (6) years.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to apply and adapt established accounting methods to a variety of accounting transactions; assemble, analyze and prepare reports and statements of complex financial data.
• Ability to process large quantities of fiscal data with consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Ability to multi-task and schedule self to meet payment and report deadlines.
