Credit Collections Specialist

We are seeking a professional Credit Collections Specialist to work with a local financial institution on an ongoing temporary basis. The position could possibly turn into long term permanent for the right candidate.

The Credit Collections Specialist is responsible for effectively managing delinquent consumer accounts, minimizing financial losses and supporting customers in resolving outstanding debts. The role requires strong communication skills, knowledge of banking regulations and the ability to negotiate solutions while remaining empathetic and understanding to confidential circumstances.

Monday - Friday Wage - $25/hour

• Monitoring delinquent consumer accounts
• Contact customers via phone, email and written correspondence to help resolve balances
• Providing customer service by maintaining a positive, professional relationships with members while discussing sensitive, personal financial circumstances.
• Negotiate repayment plans and settlements
• Document all collections activities
• Other duties as assigned

• Minimum one year financial industry experience including frontline or lending.
• Prior collections experience a plus
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent communications skills
