Corrections Specialist 3 - Internal
This position is an internal recruitment, open to current, permanent WA State Department of Corrections employees only. The Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) is looking to internally fill a full-time, non-permanent Corrections Specialist 3 (CS3) position within the Community Corrections Division. This position works for the Family and Offender Sentencing Alternative (FOSA) and Parenting Sentencing Alternative (PSA) program located at 1717 W Broadway, Spokane WA 99201.
This non-permanent appointment is expected to last about six months. This position works in collaboration with the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) by using the 5 Protective Factors, and other community stakeholders to improve public safety by working together to ensure compliance with supervision requirements, court ordered conditions, as well as targeting programs and treatment that will enhance family bonds and relationships.
The program is highly structured with focus on the parent putting their children first with family management skills, court ordered conditions, imposed conditions, and organizational/time management skills. Shift hours are Monday-Friday, .
