*** The Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) is an intensive and highly integrated approach for community mental health service delivery. The multidisciplinary team shares a caseload of individuals who experience symptoms of the most serious forms of mental illness, predominantly but not exclusively the schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Many individuals also experience substance abuse, victimization and trauma, psychiatric hospitalizations, arrests and incarceration, homelessness, and additional significant challenges.
The symptoms and complications of mental illnesses lead to serious functioning difficulties in several areas of life, often including work, social relationships, residential independence, money management, and physical health and wellness.
The Outpatient ARNP performs psychiatric evaluations, formulates diagnosis, evaluates the need for medications, laboratory studies, and imaging, and prescribes accordingly and as licensed by law. The ARNP participates in the development of treatment plans, including reviewing cases with the treatment teams ensuring patient care is delivered in an evidence-based, trauma informed manner. Case consultation with other FBH staff, residential providers and families is provided upon request.
The ARNP may, on occasion, be asked to help provide ARNP coverage in other programs.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
*** Provide assessment and diagnose for assigned clients and as needed crisis medical evaluation for non-assigned clients.
