Associate Phlebotomist ResponsibilitiesUnder laboratory leadership and the supervision of a licensed phlebotomist, obtain accurate and reliable blood and body fluid specimens from properly identified adult and/or pediatric patients. Identify phlebotomy difficulties, define appropriate solutions, coordinate resources, and maintain outstanding relationships with client and technical staff.
Phlebotomist ResponsibilitiesObtain accurate and reliable specimens from adult or pediatric patients, and prepare and ensure specimen integrity of blood, urine, sputum, stool, and various cultures. Log, spin, and distribute specimens to laboratory testing areas. Perform all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects Providence Health & Services’ mission and values.
Senior Phlebotomist ResponsibilitiesPerform all Phlebotomist duties independently. Draw a minimum workload of 10–12 patients per hour. Keep missed draws below three per month. Assist with training new phlebotomists.
Qualifications Associate Phlebotomist- Coursework/Training and completion of an accredited phlebotomy program or equivalent education/experience.
- Upon hire:
Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification.
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program or equivalent education/experience.
- Upon hire:
Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification. - Six months of phlebotomy experience.
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program or equivalent education/experience.
- Upon hire:
Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification. - Three years of phlebotomy experience.
Associate Phlebotomist:
Minimum $17.25, Maximum $24.82
Phlebotomist:
Minimum $17.97, Maximum $26.92
Senior Phlebotomist:
Minimum $19.97, Maximum $30.54
