Medical Assistant - Cardiology Institute

Position Summary

We are hiring Medical Assistants (MA I), Medical Assistants II (MA II), and Medical Assistants Registered (MA‑R) for the Physician Management Group at Providence in Spokane, WA. These positions are full‑time, with multiple shifts available. Eligible candidates will receive a $2,500 sign‑on bonus upon meeting all conditions, in addition to the comprehensive benefits package.

• Assist licensed practitioners in patient care and perform duties as directed, following delegation and policies.
• Perform clinical tasks such as vital sign measurement, injections, medication administration, and other responsibilities appropriate to the role.
• Operate under Providence’s policies, procedures and regulations.

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent apprenticeship program.
• Graduate of a United States Armed Forces medical training program with two years of experience.
• Minimum one year of medical assistant work experience that includes vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
• Upon hire:
  Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
• Within 30 days of hire:
  National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
• Six months of healthcare experience.
• Six months of medical assistant experience.

• Within 60 days of hire:
  Washington Medical Assistant Registration.
• Within 30 days of hire:
  National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
• Six months of healthcare experience.
• Six months of medical assistant experience.

• Coursework or training in medical office assistant, medical secretary, or health unit coordinator/clerks.

Spokane, WA – Medical Assistant salary range: $19.76 to $30.24 per hour. Most candidates can expect a starting pay of $22.19 per hour or higher, depending on experience.
Medical Assistant Registered salary range: $17.39 to $26.07 per hour. Most candidates can expect a starting pay of $20.91 per hour or higher, depending on experience.
