Responsibilities
The Associate Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of care recipients and caregivers in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As a member of the healthcare team, the Chaplain is directly responsible for implementing the mission, values, policies, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve.
Required Qualifications- 2 Clinical Pastoral Education units
- Graduate studies 32–48 credit hours in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, or equivalent applicable education from an accredited institution
- Bachelor's Degree
- National Chaplain Certification within 3 years of hire
- Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, or relevant religious studies accepted by chaplaincy board certifying organizations
- 1 year of ministry in a medical setting
$23.84 – $36.48 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
