Position Summary
The Laboratory Assistant Phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining blood samples, transporting samples for medical testing, and processing specimens according to protocol and procedures. The role works with the team to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care for patients.

Schedule: Variable days, may include weekends
- Perform venipunctures professionally and skillfully at various sites, explaining the procedure to patients.
- Ensure timely draws and periodically check all workload pending lists for specimen accountability.
- Accurately label patient samples following hospital policy.
- Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification (MA-P) or eligibility.
- Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Pay is influenced by factors such as skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
