Technologist, Medical Technologist & Lab Technician, Clinical Research

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team in Spokane, WA.

Work Schedule:

Wednesday – Saturday, 4:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (overtime and additional days or hours may be required).

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Medical Technology ASCP or AMT certification or Certified Toxicologist.

• 1 year prior experience in a Clinical Lab.
• 6 months experience and familiarity with laboratory information systems.
• 6 months or more experience with LCMSMS, GCMS, GCFID and/or ICPMS testing.

• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Pay Range: $27.77 – $37.00 hourly, plus third shift differentials.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement and employee stock purchase plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
