Job Overview
Respiratory Therapist – Apria (Accendra Health)
You will deliver respiratory care both in the branch and in the field, performing home visits, equipment setup, patient education, and clinical support. This role supports patients transitioning from hospital to home and works collaboratively with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams.
- Hours:
9:00AM–5:30PM with flexibility as needed - Hybrid role: approximately 60% in the branch, 40% in the field
- Salary range: $35.00–$45.00 per hour (varies by experience, skill, and location)
- On‑call rotations are area‑based (Spokane, WA; Colville, WA; Coeur d’Alene, ); rotation frequency: once every 3‑5 weeks; weekend call‑outs are rare
- Personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursed
- Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups
- Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and appropriately elevate concerns
- Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
- Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop
- Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment including oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non‑invasive ventilation
- Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition
- Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO₂, spirometry, and vital signs collection
- Perform other duties as required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active Washington RT license
- Ability to stand, lift, push, or pull objects ranging from 10–50lbs
- Valid driver’s license and comfortable with mobile navigation tools and digital documentation
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Current RCP license in the state of practice (or applicable states for the coverage area)
- Current CPR certification
- All applicable licensure in good standing for the states where practice is required
