Description
Medical Assistant position with a Monday–Friday schedule, no evenings or weekends, covering one of our clinic locations. Works closely with licensed practitioners to provide patient care. Responsible for administrative and clinical tasks, including maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examinations, and assisting physicians with exams.
Responsibilities- Maintain patient records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for visits and procedures.
- Assist physicians with exams and clinical procedures.
- Perform clerical tasks and use medical terminology as part of daily duties.
- Take vital signs (e.g., pulse, blood pressure) and document findings.
- Update medications, allergies, and other patient information in the EHR.
- Collect specimens and perform basic lab testing as trained.
- Support patient service and provide effective communication with patients and care teams.
- Educational/Training:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands-on clinical training or completion of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship; or equivalent military medical training; or minimum one year of MA experience with clinical skills (vital signs, injections, medication administration). - Certification/Registration:
Washington Medical Assistant Certification (upon hire for MA); or Washington MA Registration (within 60 days for MA Registered role). - Licensing/
Skills:
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire. - Experience:
0–6 months to 6 months of clinical MA experience, depending on role.
- Prior experience delivering customer service in a fast-paced environment (6 months).
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) in a healthcare setting (6 months).
- Coursework or training in Medical Office Support or related fields.
Medical Assistant Salary Range, NE Washington:
Min: $18.50, Max: $28.27. Most candidates can expect a starting pay of $22.19/hr or higher, depending on experience.
A career ladder is available with additional training and informal leadership opportunities. Potential future roles include Senior Medical Assistant and Lead Medical Assistant with corresponding pay ranges.
Location and ScheduleOpen positions at various clinics in NE Washington; interview discussions will cover current openings and candidate preferences.
