Position Summary

The Centralized Patient Access Representative II (CPAR‑II) assists new and existing patients with scheduling appointments, facilitates communication with the patient care team, and provides information and updates on a wide variety of topics related to their care. The role prioritises creating an outstanding patient experience through professionalism, empathy, and enthusiasm during patient interactions.

Responsibilities
  • All CPAR‑I functions
  • Handle additional responsibilities such as higher volume of clinics, specialty and/or ambulatory procedure scheduling for medical practices
  • Aid callers/patients with referral coordination, patient registration, and scheduling new and follow‑up appointments for multiple medical practice locations according to established protocols for contract and/or specialty clinics
  • Navigate incoming referrals and ensure necessary insurance prior‑authorization is obtained
  • Initiate patient outreach as needed based on referral work queues
  • Schedule interpreter services
  • May function as a Lead Advocate based on demonstrated skills and abilities in the role
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of customer service experience required, or 6 months meeting call‑center metrics as a CPAR‑I
  • Proficient computer skills operating multiple systems in a Windows‑based environment
  • Two (2) years of office, clerical, or call‑center experience; experience in a medical setting preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, referrals/orders and medical insurance preferred
  • Electronic Medical Record experience; EPIC preferred
  • Familiarity with data entry and complex scheduling preferred
Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. The pay scale is $18.24 – $26.24 USD, with compensation influenced by factors such as skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale for the applicant's years of experience.
