Position: Mammography Tech - Spokane, WA | $47/hr (Local)

Job Details

Jogan Health is looking for an experienced Mammography Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Spokane, Washington. In this role you will be responsible for the operation of dedicated mammography equipment to perform radiologic procedures. Typical duties include operating equipment, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnosis, assisting physicians/radiologists with breast localizations and procedures, and administering radiographic opaque media.

Local Pay: $47/hr
Travel Pay: $26.75 + $55 per diem + lodging + travel stipend

40 hours weekly
Duration: 13 weeks with a possible extension

What you will do

  • Maintain high standard of technical skills in modality
    • Perform diagnostic and screening mammographic studies.
  • Perform mammograms to ACR standards
    • Appropriate views for particular exam as per radiologist/department protocol.
    • Ability to perform acceptable alternatives when patient condition requires them.
    • Ability to physically assist patient to obtain high‑quality mammogram.
  • Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
  • Assist physicians/radiologists with specialized procedures.
  • Maintain working knowledge of mammography equipment.
  • Complete exam paperwork, coding for billing, patient data for tracking, patient history.
  • Maintain stocked, organized and clean working area including equipment, technologist core area and exam rooms.
  • Respond to information requests from patients, scheduling or other departments.
  • This position may be required to work in a hospital, urgent care or clinical setting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • High School Diploma/GED required.
    • Accredited Radiologic‑Technology Program.
  • Experience:
    • One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist – required.
    • MQSA Compliant (15 mammography specific CME’s within last 36 months; 200 mammograms performed within the last 24 months; 40 hours of initial digital mammography training).
    • Anatomy and medical terminology required.
    • Understanding of mammography procedures required.
    • Must physically be able to position and maneuver patients to perform mammographic studies.
  • Licensure: Must maintain current Washington State Radiologic Technologist License and be a Registered AART (R)(M) Certificate.
  • Computer

    Experience with Outlook;
    Kronos;
    Imagecast;
    Stentor; IDXterm;
    Flowcast;
    Intranet is highly desired.
