The NATIVE Project is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to be the welcoming first point of contact for our patients and community members. This role is essential to creating a respectful, culturally responsive, and patient-centered experience within our clinic.

You will support patients from check-in to appointment completion while upholding confidentiality, accuracy, and a culture of compassionate care.

Essential Duties- Warmly welcome patients upon arrival, ensuring a culture of compassionate care; verify appointment details, insurance coverage, and personal information in our database.
- Collect insurance co-payments and necessary documents, maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
- Handle patient demographics over the phone, updating electronic medical records promptly and efficiently.
- Assist patients in navigating and utilizing the Patient Portal for seamless access to healthcare services.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of intake forms and fee slips before submission for processing.
- Professionally manage telephone inquiries, taking messages or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and arrange translators when needed, adhering to clinic guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and security in patient waiting areas, upholding confidentiality and privacy regulations at all times.
- Perform additional tasks as delegated or required.
