Certified Pathology Assistant

Competitive Pay: $60/hour. 13‑week contract.

Schedule:

8:30 am to 5 pm. Weekly pay.

CapsuleAID Seattle is seeking a Certified Pathologist Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Pathologist Assistant, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by providing support to pathologists. You will assist in the preparation and examination of tissue specimens, perform autopsies, and analyze results under the supervision of pathologists. This position also reviews medical charts with the pathologist, performs post‑mortem examination and prosection.

• Prepare and process tissue specimens for examination or analysis.
• Assist pathologists during surgical pathology procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Perform quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and precision.
• Analyze and interpret test results, prepare reports, and present findings to pathologists.
• Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Certification as a Pathologist Assistant from an accredited program (ASCP).
• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or related field.
• Excellent laboratory skills and knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.
• Proficient in using laboratory equipment and computer systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current knowledge of industry trends and advancements in pathology.
