Job Description We have an opportunity for a Part Time Physical Therapist to join our Rehab team. The ideal candidate for this role is a well-rounded pediatric physical therapist who enjoys working with both orthopedic and developmental populations in a collaborative, specialty care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
You have experience managing post-operative pediatric patients, including cases such as ACL reconstruction, periacetabular osteotomy (PAO), tibial derotational osteotomy, and other complex lower extremity surgeries.
You are comfortable practicing in an outpatient setting and have worked with children in a clinical and play-based (not solely school-based) environment.
You enjoy treating a diverse caseload—ranging from post-surgical rehab to children with gait abnormalities, toe walking, hip dysplasia, back pain, and motor delays.
You have evaluated or are eager to evaluate pediatric patients for wheelchairs, gait trainers, standers, strollers, and other adaptive equipment.
You understand how to partner with equipment vendors to ensure appropriate selection, justification, and procurement of mobility devices.
You are comfortable working alongside prosthetists and orthotists and incorporating bracing or prosthetic considerations into your treatment plans.
You value interdisciplinary care and actively collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, therapists, and other providers to achieve the best outcomes.
You can adapt orthopedic rehabilitation principles to meet the unique needs of growing children and adolescents.
You engage patients and caregivers effectively, using developmentally appropriate strategies to support progress and carryover outside the clinic.
You are an independent clinician who can balance a varied caseload and thrives in a specialty pediatric orthopedic setting.
Required Qualifications:
Licensed in WABasic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year experience in Physical Therapy The pay range for this position is $38.90 - $58.36. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
