Patient Access Technician

Multi Care Health System -  - Responsibilities:
Ensure complete and accurate patient admissions/registrations according to organization policy and procedures and regulatory requirements;
Obtain inpatient bed assignments and process inpatient admission, including arm banding, addressograph plate, and completion of necessary forms;
Pre-admit all scheduled inpatient, outpatients and ambulatory patients to facilitate a smooth admission/registration process;
Obtain direct admit information and enter a reservation in the computer system to notify other areas;
Conduct bedside or telephone interviews with patient, relative, or representative to obtain demographic, insurance, and/or third-party liability information
