Job Description

Under the direction of the Branch Manager or Field Leader, the Mobile Examiner provides field coverage, ensuring mobile exams are completed accurately and on time. The role includes specimen collection and processing, maintaining a safe and professional environment for applicants, clients, and employees, and performing all aspects of an insurance exam with confidence. The Mobile Examiner may also coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource person for new employees who have completed the required phlebotomy training program.

$13.97 – $26.71 per hour. Salary offers consider skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and market factors.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all specimens are collected accurately and on time.
  • Collect specimens according to established procedures.
  • Conduct in‑center and mobile exams, including vitals, medical histories, venipuncture, urine collection, and EKG, and collect specimens for pre‑employment drug screenings.
  • Complete application packets and other paperwork accurately.
  • Label, centrifuge, and split specimens as required.
  • Upload and complete cases in the portal within 24 hours on weekdays and within 48 hours on weekends.
  • Package specimens for transport and ship to the lab indicated on work orders.
  • Transport specimens, supplies, equipment, and materials safely and on time.
  • Maintain records of each specimen collected daily and support record deletion when directed.
  • Submit original paperwork to the destination.
  • Provide customer service to clients.
  • Follow the current Examiner’s Manual and all departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs.
  • Maintain an error rate of no more than 3 %.
  • Confirm exams with clients the day before appointment and update status at confirmation.
  • Correct non‑applicant errors within a 24‑hour timeframe.
  • Submit accurate time, travel, and expense logs as directed.
  • Properly clock in and out for work assignments.
  • Provide travel logs when applicable.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment.
  • Adhere to departmental and company dress code, grooming, and lab coat policies.
  • Wear company‑issued identification badge at all times during work assignments.
  • Report for work on time, following attendance guidelines.
  • Answer the telephone in a friendly, helpful manner, stating the company name and self‑identification.
  • Communicate appropriately with customers, agents, applicants, coworkers, and the public.
  • Report unresolved problems immediately to the appropriate manager or supervisor.
  • Remain polite and courteous at all times.
  • Maintain neat, clean, and well‑maintained facilities or work areas and report repairs or maintenance needs.
  • Assist with inventory counts, report shortages, and stock supplies as needed.
  • Provide supply orders as specified by the Branch Manager.
  • Work effectively with staff to ensure compliance with dress code, EHS & QA requirements, customer service requirements, and SOPs.
  • Perform other department‑related clerical duties when assigned.
  • Answer phone and dispatch calls when assigned.
  • Participate in teams and special projects when asked.
  • Assist in implementing SOPs for examiner services in accordance with Quest Diagnostics guidelines.
  • Act as mentor and resource person for new employees with direction and training.
  • Assist in distributing technical information and communications to the work group.
  • Operate flexibly within a 25‑mile travel radius and maintain availability dates in Examview.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
