Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Medical Oncology

Summit Cancer Centers is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our multidisciplinary oncology team. This APP will work collaboratively with oncologists, nurses, and support staff to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment in an outpatient medical oncology setting. Open to new graduates.

Reports To: Medical Director of Oncology

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, physical exams, and evaluations of oncology patients.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with oncologists.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory results.
  • Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medication, and side effect management.
  • Monitor patient progress and manage treatment-related symptoms or complications.
  • Participate in tumor boards, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Support survivorship planning and palliative care discussions as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with infusion nurses and pharmacists to ensure safe chemotherapy administration.
Qualifications:
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP):
    Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with national certification in Adult, Family, or Acute Care.
  • Physician Assistant (PA):
    Graduate of an accredited PA program with NCCPA certification.
  • Current licensure to practice in the state of Washington.
  • Oncology experience preferred but not required. Oncology training is available.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach.
