PAML a Labcorp company is seeking a Medical Lab  
** Technologist
* * to join our team in Spokane, WA.

*
* Work Schedule:

** Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 2:00 pm to 12:30 am overtime and additional days or hours may be required

*
* Job Responsibilities:

*
* + Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria

+ Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures

+ Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality

+ Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.

+ Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls

+ Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care

+ Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures

+ Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary

+ Assist with processing of specimens when needed

+ Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

* Minimum Qualifications:

*
* + Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology

+ 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree

*
* Preferred Qualifications:

*
* + 1 year or more working in a Clinical or Hospital Lab

+ ASCP or AMT certification

** Additional Job Standards:*
* + Ability to work independently and within a team environment

+ Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

+ High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask

+ Flexible to work overtime as needed

+ Exceptional customer service

+ Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

+ Comfortable working under minimal supervision

+ Proficient with computers;
Familiarity with laboratory information

Plus 2nd Shift Differential
