Description Volunteers of America Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) to join our growing team and help launch our new Integrated Behavioral Health Clinic (IBHC). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new program that brings together substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health services, care coordination, peer support, and whole-person care within a single collaborative setting.

As a SUDP, you'll help individuals build healthier futures while shaping a program that increases access to compassionate, person-centered care.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct substance use disorder assessments and establish diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling services.
  • Support recovery planning, treatment engagement, and relapse prevention.
  • Coordinate care with internal teams, healthcare providers, and community partners.
  • Connect participants with resources and services that support long‑term recovery and stability.
  • Maintain timely clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and quality improvement efforts.
Requirements What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • Current Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) certification in good standing.
  • Associate degree in behavioral health, psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or a related field.
  • Eligibility to provide Medicaid-reimbursable substance use disorder treatment services.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to complete required background checks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Experience in integrated behavioral health settings.
  • Knowledge of ASAM Criteria and recovery-oriented systems of care.
  • Experience serving underserved or vulnerable populations.
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
