- Coordinate direct services for incarcerated people with acute and complex behavioral health needs
- Review individual needs and barriers
- Develop collaborative individualized release plans
- Coordinate access to mental health, substance use, basic needs, housing, health care, peer support, education, employment, and trauma-focused services
- Work with corrections officers, jail medical and mental health staff, and community partner organizations
- Perform complex professional/technical program support, potentially including field work
- Analyze administrative, fiscal, and program operations
- Prepare technical reports, documents, notices, and public information materials
- Extract and analyze data from project tracking and information systems
- Participate in planning, coordination, and implementation of specialized programs
- Participate in developing budgets, goals, objectives, and program activities
- Provide information on applicable local, state, and federal codes, regulations, requirements, standards, and programs
- Conduct specialized research using independent judgment and limited supervision
- Participate in community outreach as a County community partner/agent
- Perform other related duties as required
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, mental health, behavioral sciences, or a related field plus at least 1 year of experience working with persons with legal system involvement; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, mental health, behavioral sciences, or a related field plus at least 2 years of experience working with persons with legal system involvement; OR
- 5 years of equivalent work experience
- Proof of credentials required
- Degree conferred by an institution of higher education recognized by accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education
- Official transcripts required at time of hire
- Ability to work in a secured and/or partially secured jail environment
- Ability to operate within an established chain of command in a paramilitary organization
- Comprehensive background investigation required
- Polygraph examination and drug test required after successful background investigation
- Supplemental questions and completed online application required
- Ability to balance a caseload and triage complex client needs
- Ability to navigate community resources and engage diverse community partners
Demonstrates expertise in coordinating services for individuals with complex behavioral health needs, including developing individualized release plans and navigating community resources. Proficient in analyzing program operations and preparing technical reports while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
