This role will float between Orthopedic locations in Spokane – Downtown Spokane, Northpointe, and Spokane Valley.

The Certified Medical Assistant (MA‑C) is an integral part of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider office team, working under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. The MA‑C performs safe clinical skills within the scope of practice, maintains continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients, and their families.
Responsibilities- Patient Care
- Organize patient flow with front office staff
- Interview patients and obtain vital signs
- Assist patients in preparing for exams or treatments
- Perform specimen collection, including venipuncture
- Administer medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
- Relay instructions and information to patients and their families or caregivers
- Clerical Support
- Send and receive patient medical records
- Facilitate patient referrals
- Prepare forms for patients
- Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistants
- Washington State Medical Assistant‑Certified (MA‑C)
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred

As required by pay transparency laws, the competitive compensation range for this position is $22.34 – $32.14 USD per hour. Pay is influenced by skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale aligned with the applicant’s years of experience.
