Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with group activities throughout the day.
- Make daily announcements to keep residents abreast of planned activities and schedule changes as requested by or in the absence of the Director of Life Enrichment;
May also make announcements before each activity begins. - Actively promote resident participation in activities.
- Actively promote the community by making guests feel welcome.
- Arrange and/or participate in special groups and activities such as coffee, news, story hour, games, music, and pet visitatio n .
- Decorate common areas of community using seasonal themes.
- Create a bulletin board with monthly activities, birthdays, and/or other resident highlights.
- Assist with recordkeeping as requested by Director of Life Enrichment.
- Keep storage area clean , neat , and organized .
- Notify Director of Life Enrichment immediately of noticeable differences in resident behavior.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean environment.
- Attend mandatory meetings as scheduled by Executive Director.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident, community , employee, and company information.
- Maintain working knowledge of fire and disaster plans and responsibilities under emergency conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned .

Must satisfy all state health, licensure/certification, and background requirements.Education/
Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prefer 6 months to 1 year of experience in geriatric recreational and social activities.
Certificates and Licenses:
Must complete CPR and First Aid certifications , if not current. Food Handler certification may also be required. Must meet any additional licensing requirements in state(s) of practice.
Communication
Skills:
Receive and carry out verbal or written instruction. Communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or via email with customers and co-workers. Make group presentations to share information or explain policies and procedures.
Organization/Self-Management
Skills:
Perform a variety of duties, moving between tasks of differing nature, with occasional distractions and interruptions. Prioritize competing requirements to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes to workload and assignments.
Computer
Skills:
Requires proficiency with computers to participate in training and/or other assigned tasks.
Assists the Director of Life Enrichment with social activities both inside and outside of the assigned community.
