Summary
The Cashier is responsible for accurately collecting and reconciling revenue while providing exceptional hospitality services to all guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner.

- Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers and clients. Acknowledges and greets guests immediately, addresses them using last names when appropriate, and treats all with courtesy, respect, and dignity. (20%)
- Maintains accuracy and composure while under pressure, uses appropriate salutation of the day, welcomes guests to the location, and follows proper Towne Park phone etiquette. (15%)
- Assists guests with directions and inquiries, providing information about facilities, meeting rooms, amenities, and main attractions. (10%)
- Determines guest charges and processes payments via cash, credit, or direct billing, accurately categorizes tickets for audit, collects and reconciles revenue, and furnishes payment receipts. (20%)
- Completes accurate and timely shift reports, follows all standard operating procedures related to cash banks, operates registers, gates, and credit card machines, and obtains daily event and rate information. (20%)
- Completes all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by the Lead Cashier/Account Manager. (15%)
The total amount of time for all functions of the job is 100%.
Qualifications Education- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read and write standard English.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings to guests, clients, and colleagues.
- Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and to multiply and divide using units of American money.
- Understanding of 24‑hour and military time systems.
- Understanding of rates applicable to time passed.
Job is fairly routine; the incumbent follows established practices and procedures, performs tasks with specific direction, and works under regular supervision.
Authority To ActDuties are performed with specific directions; decisions are made within operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect smooth operation of the department.
Budget ResponsibilityThe employee has control over resources available only.
CompensationThe hourly base pay range for this position is $18 per hour.
Work ScheduleThe schedule is 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Working Conditions & Physical DemandsEmployees are required to talk or hear regularly, sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Physical RequirementsEmployees must perform tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently, and more than 10 pounds constantly.
Working EnvironmentThe majority of work will be performed outdoors for extended periods, including the full shift duration, exposing employees to extreme heat and cold weather.
TravelTravel of up to 5% may be required.
