Overview

Calling all Esteemed Leaders! Are you a mission‑driven technology leader with a passion for ensuring safe, reliable, and highly effective clinical technology environments across a complex healthcare ministry? You thrive in roles where collaboration, service delivery, and operational excellence intersect, leading diverse technical teams and building strong partnerships with clinical and operational leaders to support exceptional patient care.

The Role

The Director, IS Service Delivery is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of support services for clinical technology and medical devices across the assigned ministry or ministries. Reporting to the Regional Executive Director for Clinical Technology Services, this role operates within the enterprise‑wide framework for technology and medical device management — ensuring support, maintenance, planning, cybersecurity, and acquisition processes meet ministry needs.

This role partners with ministry leadership to understand the unique technology and medical device environment within each ministry and reflects these needs in service delivery and forward‑looking plans. As the local regulatory and accreditation leader for clinical technology services, the Ministry Director ensures workforce qualifications and compliance requirements are upheld.

Acting as the operational “go‑to” leader for technology service delivery, the Ministry Director builds strong relationships with operational leaders, proactively identifies service gaps, and ensures ministry operations remain uninterrupted. The Director also serves as a bridge to Information Services (IS), helping ministries understand and adopt regional and enterprise technology operating models.

This leader directs local clinical engineering, biomedical, and IT support teams; ensures workforce readiness; allocates resources appropriately; drives performance excellence; leverages enterprise analytics; and partners with cybersecurity, engineering, and technology owners to address systemic issues and protect the organization’s risk profile. It also focuses on how technology supports patient care and system reliability.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the clinical technology service delivery model for assigned ministry(s), serving as the accountable local leader for all technology support services (clinical engineering/biomedical technology and information technology).
  • Collaborate with ministry and operational leadership to ensure service delivery aligns with regional IS frameworks and meets ministry needs.
  • Proactively identify and address service quality issues, ensuring ministry concerns are represented in the service model.
  • Partner as a key member of the regional leadership team; contribute at the executive level and support informed, transparent decision‑making across ministries.
  • Ensure local readiness for regulatory and accreditation requirements related to clinical engineering and technology service delivery.
  • Maintain strong cybersecurity awareness and ensure proper application of cybersecurity frameworks within clinical engineering and IT environments.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and senior leadership on project status, issues, risks, budgets, and key technology initiatives.
  • Provide timely coaching and performance feedback; set development plans and performance expectations; track progress toward goals.
  • Mentor, develop, recruit, and retain a mission‑driven, highly qualified, service‑oriented team of clinical engineers and IT support professionals.
  • Use strong problem‑solving, negotiation, and decision‑making skills to influence ministry leaders, partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all required reporting — standard and ad hoc — is prepared accurately and submitted to IS leadership.
  • Represent the ministry and system at professional meetings, public events, and conferences as requested.
  • Leverage enterprise‑developed data, analytics, and reporting to ensure local teams meet service benchmarks and operate efficiently.
  • Identify systemic issues and partner with engineering and technology leaders to develop upstream solutions that strengthen service delivery.
  • Focus on cybersecurity risk profile within the…
