Overview

Job Summary: The Combat Survivor Evader Locator (CSEL) Program Manager supports Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) training programs by managing the preparation, configuration, accountability, and operational support of CSEL equipment used during training activities. This role ensures that training systems are properly maintained, issued, and integrated into course events in accordance with approved Programs of Instruction (POIs), governing directives, and established operational procedures.

The CSEL Program Manager coordinates closely with instructor cadre, training leadership, and logistics personnel to ensure CSEL systems are available, functional, and configured to support realistic training scenarios. Responsibilities include equipment lifecycle management, inventory control, operational support during training events, and maintaining compliance with applicable security and accountability requirements. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical familiarity with personnel recovery communication systems, and the ability to support high-tempo training environments while maintaining strict accountability for sensitive equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the configuration, inventory, accountability, and maintenance of CSEL radios and associated equipment used during SERE training events
  • Prepare, issue, and recover CSEL systems in support of training activities conducted in accordance with approved course materials and training guidance
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, accountability documentation, and equipment logs in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
  • Inspect and maintain CSEL equipment to ensure operational readiness and serviceability prior to training events
  • Coordinate with instructor cadre and training leadership to integrate CSEL systems into course scenarios and training evolutions
  • Provide technical assistance and familiarization on CSEL equipment usage to instructors and training personnel as required
  • Troubleshoot basic operational issues associated with CSEL radios and associated equipment
  • Coordinate repair, replacement, or maintenance of equipment as required to maintain operational readiness
  • Support concurrent or consecutive course iterations in high-tempo environments where equipment must be prepared and recovered rapidly between training events
  • Maintain compliance with security requirements, operational procedures, and equipment accountability standards
Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting SERE training, personnel recovery systems, communications equipment management, or comparable operational support functions
  • Familiarity with CSEL radios, personnel recovery communication equipment, or comparable military communication systems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
  • Experience maintaining equipment inventories, accountability records, and operational logs
  • Strong organizational and equipment management skills in structured operational environments
  • Ability to support extended duty days and non-standard work schedules as required by training cycles
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Prior experience supporting SERE training programs or Department of Defense personnel recovery training environments
  • Prior experience managing or supporting CSEL equipment within SERE or personnel recovery training programs
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense training environments or military operational programs
  • Experience maintaining controlled equipment inventories or serialized equipment tracking systems
  • Experience providing technical equipment support in field training environments
  • Experience supporting SERE training programs or working with SERE instructor cadre
  • Experience supporting Full Spectrum Level C (High Risk of Capture) SERE training as an instructor
Required Background Check

Must have a T3, T3R or National Agency Check with Law and Credit (NACLC)
